ToxicsWatch Alliance (TWA) strongly disagrees with GIZ's position that we cannot escape incinerators. TWA
holds that if we do not wish to turn our atmosphere into skyfills
instead of landfills of hazardous chemicals, incinerator and
co-incinerator technologies must be abandoned. Delhi High Court order of
January 2013 in the Okhla medical waste incinerator case underlines it
by dwelling on its grave implication for health. We must adopt alternatives of incinerators.
TWA's resistance against this waste based power plant has been on since March 2005 and after carefully examining orders issed so far now TWA has announced that National Green Tribunal's impartiality faces litmus test in the matter of this plant.
